Booking

Let's find a time.

New clients can request a first appointment below. Current clients can schedule, reschedule, and message me through the secure portal. Both live on this page.

This page is not for emergencies. Requests are reviewed during business hours. If you need help now, call or text 988, or call 911.

Request your first appointment

Tell me a little about what you're looking for and pick a time. Your first appointment is a 60-minute intake: what brought you here, what you're dealing with now, relevant history, and what you want out of this. We can also spend part of it just getting to know each other.

  • Pick a time that works — appointments run Monday through Thursday
  • You'll get a confirmation email with your secure video link
  • Intake paperwork arrives in the portal once you're booked
  • If I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you and point you elsewhere

Scheduling runs through a HIPAA-compliant practice management system. Please don't put clinical detail in the booking notes field — save it for the session.

Request an appointment

This opens my secure client portal, where you can see what's available and send the request. It takes a couple of minutes. Nothing is booked until I've reviewed it and confirmed with you.

Your client portal

Everything in one place: upcoming appointments, secure messaging, documents to sign, invoices, and your video session links.

  • Schedule or reschedule within my available times
  • Complete and sign forms electronically
  • Message me securely between sessions
  • View statements and pay balances
Secure sign-in

Sign in to the portal

Use the email address on file. If you've never signed in, use the invitation link from your welcome email — or ask me to resend it.

Session-day checklist

  • Open the link from your reminder a few minutes early
  • Allow camera and microphone access when prompted
  • Find a private-enough spot and grab headphones
  • Water, blanket, dog — whatever helps you settle
Before your first session

A little setup, nothing more.

You don't need to arrive with your history organized. These few things just make the first hour smoother.

Finish your intake forms

They land in the portal once you book. Doing them in advance gives us the full hour to talk. See what's included.

Upload your ID and insurance card

Photos of both, straight into the portal — that's all the front-desk paperwork there is.

Test your setup

Open the link once before the day, check your camera and mic, and pick the room you'll actually use.

Jot down a few notes

What you'd like to be different in six months, any current medications, and anything you'd rather I not bring up yet.

Scheduling policies

Please cancel through the portal or by phone at least 24 hours ahead. Later cancellations and no-shows are charged $125, which insurance doesn't cover, because that time is held for you and usually can't be offered to anyone else. Emergencies and genuinely unexpected circumstances are always considered individually — life can be wild. Full policy.

Availability opens 4 weeks ahead. Ongoing clients usually hold a recurring weekly slot, which is the easiest way to keep a consistent time.

I keep a limited caseload on purpose, so sometimes there is. When I'm full I keep a short waitlist and contact people in order as slots open. Ask and I'll tell you honestly how long the wait looks.

We agree on a backup before your first session: usually I call the number on file and we finish by phone, or reschedule if the connection won't cooperate. Technology failing is not a missed appointment.

Yes — physically located in Wisconsin at the time of the appointment. My license is Wisconsin-only, so I'll confirm your location at the start of each session. Travelling out of state means we reschedule.

If you need help right now

Phoenix is a solo outpatient practice without 24-hour coverage, so I'm not the right call in an emergency. If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, please use one of these free, 24/7 options — they're staffed around the clock by people who want to talk to you.
